If you’ve never visited George Gassaway’s site, be sure to check it out. There is a ton of useful and interesting stuff there including his award-winning Space Shuttle project, as well as his Little Joe II model projects and comprehensive scale data. Actually, there seems to be a ton of Little Joe II information that has been added since the last time I visited there.
Addendum 10/13/2025 — Alas, George passed away back in 2023, and his website is no longer active. I am grateful to have met him a few times, and I even got to chat with him on the phone once. He was a rocketry legend, and I loved reading about his projects in American Spacemodeling (later Sport Rocketry) magazine. I think the first thing I ever read about him was either in that or in Doug Pratt’s book, Basics of Model Rocketry. Thankfully, much of the content from George’s website is still accessible via the Web Archive:
